Dr. Ju Young Sally Bae, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Her clinical interests include complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, coronary physiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, preventive cardiology, and women's cardiovascular health. Dr. Bae is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care and works closely with each patient to develop a clear, individualized plan grounded in education, shared decision-making, and clinical excellence.
Dr. Bae completed an accelerated combined undergraduate and medical program at University College Dublin, National University of Ireland, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven Health from 2019 to 2022. Dr. Bae continued her training through a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Yale New Haven Health from 2022 to 2025, where she was selected to serve as Chief Cardiology Fellow. She completed a subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City from 2025 to 2026.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Adult Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Bae provides a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services. She is affiliated with Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Loudoun Hospital, and Reston Hospital Center.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bae is an active researcher with more than 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her work has appeared in publications including European Heart Journal, Current Treatment Options in Cardiovascular Medicine, International Journal of Cardiology, Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, Trends in Cardiovascular Medicine, Clinical Cardiology, and BMJ. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bae enjoys golf, running, Pilates, travel, and exploring new cultures through their culinary traditions.
