Dr. Chagai Mendelson is a dedicated non-invasive cardiologist with a strong background in internal medicine. Currently serving at Cardiac Care Associates, Dr. Mendelson brings an impressive academic and professional track record in cardiology.
Dr. Mendelson completed his Doctor of Medicine degree from the prestigious Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2018. Following this, he pursued post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at MedStar Georgetown University-Washington Hospital Center, where he served as a Michael Adams Teaching Scholar.
Dr. Mendelson's dedication to medical education extends beyond his own studies. He has served as the Academic Director of the Summer Medical Institute at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies and was an MCAT and SAT teacher with Kaplan Test Prep. His commitment to teaching was recognized with the Mother of Pearls Award and The Allan Goody, MD Award for excellence in clinical teaching and mentorship.
Beyond his roles in education, Dr. Mendelson has significant clinical experience. He worked at Inova Fairfax Hospital leading the rapid response team. His research has been published in respected publications like Frontiers in Nutrition.
Dr. Mendelson is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds medical licensure in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. He is an active member of professional societies including the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
In addition to his clinical and educational roles, Dr. Mendelson has developed curricula for undergraduate medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine and presented at Virginia Hospital Center's Medical Grand Rounds.
