Joseph Lee, PA-C, is an inpatient cardiovascular physician assistant at Cardiac Care Associates. Raised in the DMV, he is passionate about serving the community he calls home and supporting hospitalized patients through clear communication, collaborative care, and individualized treatment planning.

In his role, Joseph evaluates and manages patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, performs inpatient consultations, assists with the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease, interprets diagnostic testing, and works closely with the cardiology team to develop personalized care plans. He believes patients are essential partners in their own care and is committed to helping them understand their health, ask informed questions, and take an active role in their well-being.

Joseph earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Richmond, Virginia. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with a minor in Computer Science, from the University of Virginia. His interest in medicine began during his undergraduate years, when he worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Emergency Medical Technician. During physician assistant training, he completed clinical rotations in emergency medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, interventional radiology, and orthopedic trauma surgery.

Committed to service beyond the hospital, Joseph volunteers with people experiencing homelessness and other underserved communities. Outside of medicine, he enjoys volleyball, hiking, camping, traveling, and snowboarding.
