Melissa earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University. Her passion for cardiology was sparked while working as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Room, where she gained invaluable experience treating patients with a wide range of medical conditions and complexities.

In her current role as an inpatient cardiovascular PA at Reston Hospital, Melissa primarily cares for patients with cardiac conditions. She values the opportunity to collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital staff across various departments, a skill she honed during her time in the ER.

Melissa takes great pride in building strong relationships with her patients and their families, ensuring they receive the highest level of medical care. Outside of her professional life, Melissa enjoys reading, gardening, and spending quality time with her husband Travis, other family members, and her Labrador retriever, Murphy.
