Dr. Vitarello's journey into cardiology is marked by a deep commitment to understanding the holistic factors influencing heart health. He earned his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Gettysburg College, and further solidified his foundation with a Master's degree in nutrition from Columbia University. His early work in clinical drug and device trials for weight loss at Weill Cornell Medical Center ignited his passion for cardiometabolic health, and he leverages his nutrition background to provide personalized, evidence-based dietary counseling.
He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2019, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard-affiliated hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Vitarello further specialized in cardiovascular disease through a fellowship at the University of Virginia, preparing him to address complex heart conditions with a nuanced understanding of their metabolic origins.

Dr. Vitarello holds extensive board certifications in internal medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Imaging (RPVI), which signifies specialized expertise in the interpretation of vascular ultrasound, allowing him to diagnose and manage conditions such as peripheral artery and venous disease. His broad expertise allows him to offer a wide range of services, from early detection and prevention strategies to advanced diagnostic procedures.
