It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of our esteemed colleague, Dr. Kenneth M. Brooks, MD, FACC, at the end of March 2024. After an illustrious career spanning 46 years, Dr. Brooks has decided to hang up his stethoscope and embark on the next chapter of his life.
Dr. Brooks has been an integral part of Cardiac Care Associates, where his dedication, compassion, and expertise have made a significant impact on both the team and the many patients he has served.
A specialist in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine, Dr. Brooks' approach to patient care has always emphasized partnership. He consistently invited patients to actively engage in their healthcare journey, fostering a sense of empowerment and personal investment in their own well-being.
Over his career, Dr. Brooks has developed a wide range of expertise, specializing in areas as diverse as Congestive Heart Failure, Echocardiography, Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT), General Cardiology, Preventative Cardiology, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Varicose Vein Treatment, and Weight Management.
Beyond clinical responsibilities, Dr. Brooks has held leadership positions, including serving as the Medical Director of The Healthy Weigh Now Weight Loss Clinic. His contributions to the field have been recognized with Top Doctor Awards from VA Living Magazine, Washingtonian Magazine, and Northern VA Magazine.
As we bid farewell to Dr. Brooks, we cannot help but express our deep gratitude for his unwavering commitment to providing excellent and personalized care to each of his patients. His departure leaves a void that will be hard to fill.
We wish Dr. Brooks the best of luck in his retirement. We have no doubt that he will approach this new phase of life with the same energy and passion that characterized his medical career.
